13th May - Ainsley Road Tree Maintenance

A pleasant evening made the task of giving our trees some breathing space enjoyable. In just a few weeks the previously dormant nettles, Red Campion and Cow Parsley plus many other forms of flora had shot up swamping many of our small trees necessitating some judicial cropping whilst trying to retain the beauty of the flowers.

21st April - Fitting cattle guards to new Black Poplars

Niki, Clive and Bob fitting Cuctus cattle guards to newly planted Black Poplars in a field close to Wimborne. It is hoped the spikes will deter the young, inquisitive calves who are normally resident in the field for most of the year, from nibbling the new shoots and pushing the plants over.

20th April - Mulching at Dogdean

Bob, Niki and Clive appying the final mulch for the season at Dogdean SANG. Beautiful spring weather helped us along and the firm ground allowed us to bring the trailer load of mulch, kindly donated by Upton Specialised Tree Services, right up to the top of the field saving many wheelbarrow trips.
